Love the space. Love the menu. Great staff. Probably my favourite restaurant in Smithers. I've been twice in the same week - I'm from out of province. Ate salads for dinner both times (steak salad and the chicken/cashew), plus meat proteins and/or haloumi. But the salads just doesn't land for me - salads are over dressed and the sauce diluted. My dinner mate would give the restaurant a 3.8 stars - he loved the cocktails. Wine selection was good, too.
The meal, service, ambiance... all of it was just lovely. I was on my own, out of town for work, and looking for something different, something I wouldn't be likely to order if I were closer to home and my usual standbys. I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something a little different. The Korean beef sandwich was delicious; the truffle French fries and aioli were a golden, crispy perfection dipped in mouth watering creamy delight. I won't be in town much longer but I will try to get back to The Roadhouse again before I go.
Upscale dining in Smithers! Varied food selection for brunch, lunch and dinner menus. Friendly staff complements the ambience in the restaurant. The Americano is exceptional in taste! Brunch menu is welcome on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
Came here just before 5pm on a Friday not too busy and staff greeted me right away. very open and modern style with some very nice art work. I received a water as soon as I sat down. I ordered a London Fog it was delightful and came in a very nice glass mug. The mug however was a bit heavy. For dinner I order the steak sandwich medium rare without the horse radish mayonnaise. I received instead the steak salad that they immediately offered to take back however the waitress did offer me garlic bread on the side so I decided to keep it. It was a tad overdressed with a ranch style sauce but was still quite good. The bread was soooo good.The menu caught me off guard as it was a little more uptown than I had thought it would be with a name like the road house. Although the menu is not extensive the food quality is great and the service is superb. Almost a five star experience really good place and I would recommend to others
Incredible food and drink options. A rare find in a small own! Definitely a must visit.
